Scope of SRRC approval

All products capable of transmitting radio signals require compulsory radio type approval before being sold or imported into China. Commonly referred to as SRRC approval, the type approval applies to all radio transmission equipment, radio communication, RFID devices, navigation, orientation, direction finding equipment, radar, remote controls, remote measurement, broadcasting equipment, etc.

The State Radio Regulatory Commission (SRRC) is a government body under the Chinese Ministry of Information Technology (MIIT) responsible for the management of radio spectrum and type approval of radio transmitting equipment.

Having successfully obtained SRRC approval, radio transmitting equipment will also need to obtain radio equipment importation permit in order to clear Chinese custom.
